Funeral Services For Mrs. Luther Held At Couley


Funeral services were conducted at the Couley Methodist Church Monday at 3
p.m. for Mrs. Arthur Luther, 45, who died Sunday at 6:10 p.m. at the Winnfield
General Hospital, following a long illness.  Interment followed in the Double
Church Cemetery at Couley.  Mrs. Luther was the former Gertrude Hurley of Oak
Grove.

Mrs. Luther is survived by her husband, Arthur Luther, of Route 3, Winnfield,
her mother, Mrs. Emma Morgan, of Oak Grove, a brother, Sidney Hurley, of
Delhi, and eight children, Mrs. Woodrow Shepard of Coushatta, Mrs. Melba
Roberts of Winnfield, and A. G. Luther, James Luther, Doris Luther, Dora
Luther, Charles Ray Luther, and Patsy Luther, all of Route 3, Winnfield.

The deceased leaves two step brothers, Stacy Morgan and John Morgan, step
sisters Muriel Morgan, Jessie Morgan, Gracie Morgan, and Mrs. Sybil Strong. 
Her step father is John Morgan, of Coushatta.

Funeral services at the Couley Methodist Church were conducted by the Rev.
Fred S.  Flurry, the Rev. C. M. Robinson, and the Rev. Mary Wardlow, of
Montgomery.

Pallbearers were Ezra Luther, R. L. Luther, Wayne Luther, J. H. Mitchell,
Bluch Haddox, and Marlin Collins.
