John Luther Expires After Long Illness

John Henry Luther, 82, of Winnfield, died Monday afternoon, February 21, 1972
at Winnfield General Hospital here after a long illness.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Southern Funeral Home
Chapel with the Rev. Eugene F. Love officiating.  Burial was at Double Church
Cemetery near Winnfield.

He was a native of Winn Parish and was employed in the timber industry.  He
was a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include one brother, R. L. Luther, Sr., of Nederland, Texas; and one
sister, Mrs. Hardy Martin of Calvin; and a number of nieces and nephews.
