Funeral Rites For Mrs. O. B. Thompson Held

Lorena Wood Thompson, 67, of Winnfield, widow of the late O. B. Thompson, died
Thursday, February 6, 1969 at 8:50 a.m. in a Winnfield hospital after along
illness.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Hixson Bros.
Funeral Home of Winnfield with Rev. Willie Broadway and Rev. Richard Walton
officiating.  Burial was in Winnfield Cemetery under direction of Hixson
Brothers Funeral Home.

Survivors are a son, Martin J. Thompson of Alvin, Texas, a daughter, Mrs.
Addie Thornton of Winnfield; five brothers, Lee Wood and Will M. Wood, both of
Winnfield, Sam C. Wood of Texarkana, Tex., John H. Wood of Maplewood and
Sanford H. Wood of St. Joseph; a sister, Mrs. Erie Garrard of Winnfield; her
mother, Mrs. Erie Graham Wood of Winnfield and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Paul Lavespeare, Tuley Wells, J. C. Jordan, Sterling Tisdale,
Raymond Holmes, and Herbert Garrard.
