Zion Last rites for Mrs. Jane Lyons, 47, of Winnfield who died in a Shreveport hospital, March 7th, were held at Mt. Zion near Montgomery Thursday with the Rev. A. M. Holland of Montgomery and Rev. J. A. Jones of Mt. Zion officiating. Edmonds directed the burial. Acting as pallbearers were B. E. Appleton, J. A. Baugh, J. T. Collins, George Collins, Ben Woods, and Albert Ellis. A native of Montgomery, Mrs. Lyons had resided here about one year before her death. Surviving are three sons and three daughters, Mrs. Faye Baugh and Teggie Lyons of Winnfield; Mrs. B. E. Appleton of Atlanta, Ga.; Charles Lyons of Winnfield and Earl and Wayne Lyons of Port Arthur; one sister, Mrs. Lucy McBride of Winnfield; one brother, H. F. Milstead of Montgomery; one half sister, Mrs. Mary Williams of Sulphur, La., and one half brother, J. B. Williams of Dry Prong.
