Miss Clara Belle Mitchell, 69, Dies At Wheeling

Miss Clara Belle Mitchell, 69, life long resident of the Wheeling Community,
died at her home Wednesday, October 18, following a long illness.

Funeral services were conducted at the Mt. Zion Methodist Church at 2 p.m.
Thursday with the pastor, Rev. Dell Durand, officiating.  Burial was in the
church cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home.

Acting as pallbearers were H. A. Kieffer, Cheston Stevens, J. C. Cardozier,
J. T. McLamore, E. G. Ferguson, and John Quinalty.

The deceased was the daughter of the late Joseph D. and Oliver Gardner
Mitchell.

Survivors include one brother, Ed Mitchell of Wheeling; one sister, Mrs. Jodie
Davison of Atlanta, and five nephews and seven nieces.
