Ray E. Prager, a former pastor, officiating, assisted by Rev. J. O. Payne. Mrs. Miller had been a resident of Autumn Leaves Nursing Home for over four years, and was 90 years of age on July 30, 1968. She was the daughter of pioneer Winn Parish residents, George L. and Authornia Lewis Stinson, having been born in Ward Four, Winn Parish. Mrs. Miller was an active member of the Dodson Baptist Church for almost 50 years. She was a Sunday School teacher for several age groups, was prominent in the activities of the Missionary Society and served as clerk-treasurer for over 25 years. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Dr. Isaac Beck and Mr. James Miller, and two daughters. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Beck Payne, a granddaughter, Mrs. Ronald Robbins of Monroe, and several nieces and nephews. Interment was in Gansville Cemetery in the family plot. Pallbearers were K. C. Simmons, R. G. Simpkins, Robert Payne, Lloyd Puckitt, Clifford Hughes, and Troy Lee Kelly.
