L. F. Morrison Dies; Funeral At 10 A.M. Friday

Lewis Franklin Morrison, 71, died at a local hospital at 5 a.m. Thursday,
Sept. 22, 1960, after an illness of several years.  He had been an employee of
Southern Bell Telephone Co. for 43 years, before his retirement in 1955.

Funeral services have been scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, at Hixson Bros.
Chapel, Winnfield, with the Rev. C. C. Martin officiating.  He will be
assisted by Dr. W. L. Holcomb.  Burial will be in the Winnfield Cemetery under
direction of Hixson Bros.

Mr. Morrison came to Winnfield from Ruston in 1924.  He later married Mrs.
Nancy Long, of Winnfield, who survives him.  Also surviving are three sisters,
Mrs. L. W. Mitchell, Ruston, Mrs. W. F. Rodgers, Bunkie, and Miss Mary
Morrison, Monroe; one brother, L. A. Morrison, Zachary, La., and a number
of nieces and nephews.
