Pierce F. Machen, 70, Succumbs; Rites Wednesday

Pierce F. Machen, 70, was found dead at his residence December 26, 1967 on
West Court Street.  Time of death was probably Saturday night.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Southern
Funeral Home, Rev. Lonnie Fogger officiating.  Burial was in Cypress Creek
Cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. K. C. Carpenter of Winnfield; one
brother, Hershal Machen of Shreveport; two sisters, Mrs. Alma Robinson,
Tallulah, and Mrs. Ada Frazier, Winnfield; five grandchildren, and six great
grandchildren.
