Olin Machen, Winn Native, Dies Friday

Thomas Olin Machen, 74, of Springhill, died Friday, September 21, 1973 in a
Shreveport hospital.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Springhill United Methodist
Church with the Rev. George Harkins officiating, assisted by Rev. Lee Beck. 
Burial was in the Springhill Cemetery.

Mr. Machen was a native of Winn Parish and has been a resident of Springhill
since 1914.  He was a former agent for the Magnolia Petroleum Co.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Corrine Reynolds Machen; a brother, R. O.
Machen, Sr., of Minden.  He was a nephew of the late Mrs. C. M. Swanson.
