Machen Dies In Calvin Wednesday, 8th Funeral Services Held At Cypress Creek Cemetery, Thursday, June 9th Funerals services for William Martin Machen, age 74, were held Thursday afternoon at the Cypress Creek Church conducted by the Rev. J. D. Kitchenham of Columbia with interment in the Cypress Creek Cemetery. Mr. Machen's death occurred Wednesday, June 8th at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joe Frazier, at Calvin. His wife, who was Miss Emma Jones, preceded him in death twenty two years ago. He was a member of the Cypress Creek Baptist Church which he joined when a young man. Surviving him are four daughters, Mrs. Joe Frazier, Mrs. J. W. Burhum, Mrs. Cornelius Frazier, of Calvin; and Mrs. Ed Robertson of Dodson; three sons, H. E. Machen of Winnfield, H. M. Machen of Calvin, P. F. Machen of Sondheimer; three sisters, Mrs. Missouri Cockerham of Italy, Texas, Mrs. Callie Postell of Oak Grove, and Mrs. John Rudd of Calvin; two brothers, J. R. Madden of Lancaster, Texas, Ebb Machen of Milford, Texas.
