M. V. Malone, Jr. Dies After Short Illness

Funeral services for Marcus V. Malone, Jr., 56 of Winnfield were held at 2 
p.m. Friday in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home here with the Rev. W. R. 
Gage officiating, assisted by Rev. C. D. Bates.

Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery here for Mr. Malone who died at 
6:40 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, 1977 in the VA Hospital at Alexandria after a 
short illness.

Survivors include one son, Jerry Malone, of Natchitoches; one daughter, Mrs. 
Marsha Owens of Winnfield; his mother, Mrs. Angie Malone of Winnfield; five 
sisters, Mrs. Aline Williams of Winnfield, Mrs. Helen Cole of Natchitoches, 
Mrs. Sally Steigler of Tioga, Mrs. Maureen Foshee of Alexandria and Mrs. 
Tinsy Ladd of Shreveport; and one grandchild
