John R. Maloy, 86, Dies; Services Held Wednesday

John R. Maloy, 86, died Monday September 27, 1965 in a Winnfield nursing home
after a brief illness.

Funeral service were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Pleasant Hill Baptist
Church with the Rev. Hardy Beaubouef and the Rev. Alson Jeter officiating.

Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home
of Winnfield.

Mr. Maloy was a native of Winn Parish and a retired farmer.

Survivors are his widow; a son, Sewell Maloy of Dodson; three daughters, Mrs.
Julius Smith of Winnfield, Mrs. Charles Burkhalter of Houston, Tex., and Mrs.
U. V. Gray of Trout; 16 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were John D. Morse, Terry Allen, Jerry Allen, Kenneth Ray Maloy,
Frank Campisi, and Hubert Lynn Maloy.
