All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: January 5, 1961 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Final Rites Held For Mrs. Martha Myrick Dec. 31 Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Myrick, 91 years and nine months of age, were held Saturday, December 31, 1960, at 2 p.m. at the Southern Funeral Home chapel, with Dr. W. L. Holcomb and Rev. Earnest Evans officiating. Burial was in the Winnfield Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Mrs. Myrick died Friday at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Charlie Ray, on the Atlanta Highway. She was originally from Bienville Parish. Survivors include three sons, B. L. Myrick and Harvey Myrick, both of Winnfield, and W. L Myrick of Alexandria; three daughters, Mrs. Dan Page, Sr., and Mrs. Charley Ray, both of Winnfield, and Mrs. Clara Simmons of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, W. Y. Alexander of Winnfield and P. H. Alexander of Hodge; two sisters, Mrs. Ed Smelley and Mrs. Leslie Brown, both of Jonesboro; 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Acting as pallbearers were Sam Canerday, Gerald Page, B. H. Canter, Clifton Barton, Beverly Taylor, and Bobbie Ernest.
