M. C. Mann, 83, Retired Chemist, Succumbs May 26

Melvin Carl Mann, 83, of Winnfield, died at 3 a.m. Saturday, may 26, 1973 at
his residence after a short illness. 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Southern Funeral Home with Rev.
J. C. Skinner officiating. Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Mr. Mann was a native of Galien, Mich., and was a retired chemist at Carey
Salt Co.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Thelma Mann of Winnfield; one son, Max
Mannof Ranleman, N. C.; one daughter, Mildred "Mitzi" Vines of Winnfield;
three brothers, Harold Mann of Buchanan, Mich., Arthur Mann of Lincoln Park,
Mich., and Marvin Mann of Goshen, Ind.; three grandchildren and two great 
grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Dennis Shell, Denton Shell, Jim Russell, Tracy Lee
Harrel, Jr., Earnest Vines, Terry Kinney, and Dudley Shell.
