Goldonna Man Killed In Car Accident May 18

Lonnie Martin, 47, native of Goldonna and resident of Shreveport, died enroute
to a Winnfield hospital Saturday at 5 p.m. following an accident, when he lost
control of his car on the Goldonna-Chestnut road, went off the end of a
culvert, and hit a tree.

Funeral services were conducted May 19 at 2 p.m. at the Goldonna Cemetery with
Rev. Edgar Gunter and Rev. Roy Flurry officiating. Burial was under direction
of Southern Funeral Home

Surviving are his father, Critt Martin, Goldonna; his mother, Mrs. Mae Martin,
Shreveport; six brothers, Homer, Ted, Happy, Huey and Tommy of Goldonna; and
Bill of Shreveport; five sisters, Mrs. Helen Speaks and Mrs. Nell Halloner,
California; Mrs. Irene Hollingshead, Houma; Mrs. Violet Crooks, Jena; and Mrs.
Lena Maglich, Shreveport.
