Last Rites For Marion Martin At Yankee Springs

Funeral services for Marion Martin, 75, of Route 1, Goldonna, who died in a
Shreveport hospital at 3:10 p.m. November 20, 1960, were conducted at the
Yankee Springs Baptist Church, Ward Ten, at 2 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. D.
W. McDaniel officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery under direction
of Southern Funeral Home.

Mr. Martin was a retired farmer.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Martin, Shreveport; five daughters, Mrs.
Helen S. Parker, California; Mrs. Lena Magliek, Florida; Mrs. Irene McKinney,
Shreveport; Mrs. Violet Crooks, Trout; six sons, Homer and Ted Martin,
Goldonna; Tony Martin, Iowa; Bill Martin, Golden Meadow; Huey and Happy
Martin, Shreveport; one sister, Mrs. Emma Morgan, Oak Grove, La.; 16
grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
