Hicks Martin Dies; Burial At Yankee Springs

Hicks Martin, 73, of Goldonna, died Monday, February 7, 1977 in his residence.
He was a retired pipeliner, a native of Winn Parish, and a veteran of World
War II.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Marcella Durbin and Mrs. Bonnie
Carpenter, both of Goldonna; two sisters, Mrs. Lola Gilbert of Calvin and Mrs.
Alma Cecher of Haynesville; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Southern Funeral
Home, Winnfield, with Revs. Huey White and W. L. Fussell officiating.  Burial
was in Yankee Springs Cemetery.
