V. Maseberg Funeral services for Mrs. M. V. Maseberg, who would have been 85 years old if she had lived until April 11, 1950, were held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S. E. Berry, Elm Street, Winnfield, Thursday afternoon, at 2 o'clock. Rev. Alwin Stokes, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, conducted the services. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home. Acting as pallbearers were Willard Adams, Marshall Berry, Harper Terrill, Leon Roberts, Kermit Phillips, and Reginald Seiler. Mrs. Maseberg died in the hospital in Alexandria Wednesday at 1 a.m. where she had undergone a second operation following several weeks of critical illness here. Born and reared near Atlanta, Mrs. Maseberg was Miss Missouri Sandifer prior to marriage to Mr. Maseberg, Sr. She spent most of her life in the Atlanta and Wheeling communities, but in more recent years has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. S. E. Berry, in Winnfield. She was a member of the Methodist Church at Atlanta. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Kate Adams and Mrs. Addie Berry of Winnfield, and Mrs. Louise Pressley of Palestine, Texas; one son, E. B. Maseberg of Wheeling; and two half sisters, Mrs. Obie Bice of Pineville and Ada Sandifer of Winnfield.
