Joe Massey Rites At Pleasant Hill Church January 3

Joseph Wesley Massey, 72, died at 5 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, at his home in
Winnfield.  He was retired.

Funeral services were conducted at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at 2 p.m.
Sunday with the Rev. Alson Jeter and the Rev. E. B. Barton officiating. 
Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Ernest Vines of Joyce; one son,
Orvil Massey of North Carolina; two brothers, Sam Massey of Winnfield and
Robert Massey of Hall Summitt, La.; four sisters, Mrs. D. M. Prescott,
Winnfield, Mrs. Ed Locker, Alexandria, Mrs. Pat Murphy, Liberty, Texas, and
Mrs. Edna Greer, Lake Charles.

He also leaves eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
