Brother of Dr. S. B. Mathews Dies in Urania

Dr. O. F. Mathews, Sr., 58, of Urania, died Saturday, August 27, while he was
being taken in an ambulance from his home to a Monroe hospital for treatment
for pneumonia.  Dr. Mathews was a brother of Dr. S. B. Mathews of Winnfield.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday at Urania.  Interment was in the
Greenwood Cemetery at Pineville.

Surviving are his wife, one son, Dr. O. F. Mathews, Jr., of Shreveport; one
daughter, Mrs. P. H. Duval, Longview, Texas; three brothers, Dr. S. B.
Mathews, Winnfield; R. B., Chester, La., and D. E., Forest Hill; and one
sister, Mrs. M. McCloud of Mandeville.
