Funeral Rites For J. F. Mathis Held Sunday

John Frank Mathis, 76, died Saturday, April 13, 1968 in a Natchitoches
hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was a veteran of World War I and a Mason.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the First Methodist Church in
Montgomery with the Rev. Lloyd Pickett officiating.  Burial was in Saline
Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites, under the direction of Southern Funeral
Home of Winnfield.

Survivors are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Ann Guidry of New Orleans and
Mrs. G. W. Jones of Winnfield; two sisters, Miss Ione Mathis of Montgomery and
Mrs. Audrey Elliott of Mooringsport; and six grandchildren.
