Death Claims T. C. Mathews of Atlanta

Thomas Cantrel Mathews, 63, died April 15 following a long illness at the home
of his daughter, Mrs. Spencer Roden, in Bienville.  Funeral services were
conducted April 17 at Iatt Church, with the Rev. Arrington in charge.

A native of Atlanta, Mr. Mathews leaves his widow and ten children, four sons
and six daughters, Marvin of Simsboro, Archie who is over seas, Loran and
Lillie of Alabama, Mrs. John Taylor of Texas, Mrs. Spencer Roden and Catherine
Mathews, Bienville, Eliza, Etha Bell, and Albert, all of Atlanta, Route Two;
seven grandchildren; four brothers, R. E. Mathews, Winnfield; C. H. Mathews,
Jonesboro; M. V. Mathews, Provo, Ark.; and L. T. Mathews, San Antonio, Texas;
three sisters, Mrs. J. R. Caskey, Bienville, Mrs. Cook Caskey and Mrs. Venie
Parker, Texas.
