E. Maxey Monday Afternoon Theodore E. Maxey, age 59, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Bennie Couteter in Alexandria, last Sunday following an illness of several months. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Zion Church and interment followed in the church cemetery. The Rev. R. T. Long conducted the rites. He is survived by one son, Alton Maxey in the U. S. Army, three daughters, Mrs. Ola Safford, New York, Mrs. Bennie Couteter, Alexandria, and Mrs. Lettie Dawson, Winnfield; three brothers, Arthur Maxey, Abe Maxey, and John Maxey of Winnfield, and one sister, Mrs. Mattie Jordan, Winnfield. Pallbearers included Arnold Jordan, Wilmer Jordan, Eldon Jordan, Robert Maxey, J. L. Maxey, and J. W. Maxey.
