Local Resident's Mother Dies in Jonesboro Oct. 28

Funeral services for Mrs. Jim Maxwell, age 87, who died in a Jonesboro
hospital Thursday of last week, were held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at
the Baptist Church in Jonesboro.  Rev. A. G. Patton, assisted by the Rev. R.
L. Killen, conducted the rites.

Mrs. Maxwell was the mother of Walter S. Maxwell, local resident, who survives
her along with her husband, Jim Maxwell, and six other children, John Maxwell
of Jonesboro, Therber Maxwell of Zwolle; four daughters, Mrs. Esther Malone,
Baton Rouge, Mrs. Ardis Stevens, Good Pine, Mrs. Dessie Burnett, Brownsville,
Texas, and Mrs. Nellie Bailey, Monroe.
