E. Maxey of Route 2 Theodore E. Maxey, 56, who died at the home of his daughter in Alexandria, Sunday, July 29, 1945, was buried at Mt. Zion near Georgetown on Monday, with Rev. R. T. Long conducting the services. Interment was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers. Mr. Maxey had been in ill health for several months. A native of Mississippi, he had spent the greater part of his life in the Mt. Zion Community. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Mr. Maxey leaves one son, Alton, U. S. Navy; three daughters, Mrs. Ola Stafford, New York, Mrs. Bernice Couteter, Alexandria, and Mrs. Lettie Dawson, Winnfield; three brothers, Arthur, Abb, and John Maxey, all of Winnfield; and one sister, Mrs. Mattie Jordan, also of Winnfield.
