Mrs. Maxwell, 69, Dies After Long Illness

Mrs. Velma Joyce Maxwell, 69, of Route 2, Winnfield, died Sunday, October 18,
1970 in the Winnfield General Hospital after a long illness.

She was a native of Winn Parish.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Zion Baptist Church with
Rev. William H. Smith officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery under
the direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Survivors include three sons, William Maxwell of Winnfield, Lydle Maxwell of
Olla, and Felton Maxwell of Winnfield; a sister, Mrs. Lonnie McConathy of
Winnfield and eight grandchildren.
