Brother Of Area Residents Dies In Monroe 

Lawrence L. Maxwell, 79, of Monroe, brother of Mrs. Fannie Bass of Tullos and
of Horace Maxwell of Georgetown, died Thursday, August 22, 1974 in a Monroe
hospital.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday in Bethany Baptist Church in
Hebert, with Rev. Franklin Weaver officiating, assisted by Rev. Joe Bell. 
Interment was in Duchesne Cemetery.

Other survivors include his widow, Mrs. Tressie Maxwell of Monroe, two sons,
six daughters, three stepsons, four stepdaughters, 20 grandchildren, and 13
great grandchildren.
