R. Maxwell Held Sun. At Zion Dies In A Monroe Sanitarium Early Friday Night Funeral services for T. Richard Maxwell, age 59, of Georgetown, who died in a Monroe sanitarium Friday night at 7:30, were held at Zion Church at 10 o'clock Sunday morning with interment in the Zion Cemetery. Rev. B. A Miley, pastor of the Georgetown Baptist Church, of which the deceased was a member, conducted services. Mr. Maxwell was born in Winn Parish near Zion, the son of John Maxwell and Anna Wright Maxwell. He was a well known stock and cattleman. Surviving him are his widow and the following children: Clark Maxwell, T. R. Maxwell, and Phillip Maxwell, all of Georgetown; and Mrs. Norman Lofton of Monroe. He is also survived by four brothers, Jim, Will, and Henry Maxwell of Georgetown and Clay Maxwell of Los Angeles, Cal..; and five sisters, Mrs. Ella Balugh, Schwartz, Mrs. Sallie Blackstock, Monroe, Mrs. Tom Hodge, Georgetown, Mrs. Darius Smith, Winnfield, and Mrs. Julia Scott, Monroe. Acting as pallbearers at the funeral were O. A. Long, C. C. Long, Ben Chevalier, A. H. Brabham, Jeff Keith, and Sam Rosier.
