Father of Mrs. Roy Morgan Succumbs

Alexandria Hamilton May, 77, father of Mrs. Roy Morgan, formerly of Winnfield,
died at the Morgan home in Alexandria on Sunday, November 2.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Baptist Church in Jonesboro with Rev.
J. W. Buckner of Jonesboro and the Rev. Miley of Arcadia officiating.  Burial
was in the Jonesboro Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Mr. May had been a resident of Jonesboro for 35 years, during which time he
served as secretary-treasurer of the Jackson Parish Police Jury, Parish Tax
Assessor, Mayor of Jonesboro, and representative from Jackson Parish.
