Wesley Mayes, 80, Of Sikes Dies In Winnfield April 17

Wesley S. Mayes, 80, retired timberman of Sikes, died in a Winnfield hospital
Wednesday night following a heart attack last week.

Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 19, at the
Hebron Baptist Church with burial in the Hebron Cemetery.  The remains are at
Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield.

Surviving are his wife of Sikes; two sons, Jesse A. Mayes of Texas City, Texas
and Ovay Mayes of Beaumont, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Roy Cash of West
Monroe and Mrs. D. T. Starns of Bridge City; 14 grandchildren and 10 great
grandchildren.
