Brother of L. C. Mayes of Sikes Dies

Houston Mayes, 86, of Grayson, died Sunday afternoon at the Columbia Heights
Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Grayson Baptist Church
with the Rev. Virgil Jones officiating.  Burial was in the Welcome Home
Cemetery near Grayson.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Jency Kelly Mayes of Grayson; one daughter,
Mrs. H. Ted Woods of Columbia; one son, M. H. Mayes of Farmington, N. M.;
two brothers, L. A. Mayes of Baton Rouge and L. C. Mayes of Sikes.
