W. Mayo Succumbs; Buried Sunday, Sept. 30 Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Mayo, 47, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Corinth Baptist Church with the Rev. Louis B. Williams and the Rev. Alson Jeter officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Acting as pallbearers were William Hatfield, Glynn Katchill, Plez Hemphill, Bill Puskedra, Robert Smith, and Clarence Clark. Mrs. Mayo died September 27 in a Shreveport hospital after a lengthy illness. Survivors are her husband, J. W. Mayo of Winnfield; a daughter, Mrs. Lee Berry of Winnfield; a son, Jessie Mayo, of Pasadena, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Puskedra of Benton, Ark., and Mrs. Homer Varnell of Winnfield; and a brother, J. T. Stamps of Pasadena, Tex.; and 10 grandchildren.
