McAnally, 56, a former Winnfield resident, and brother of Mrs. Parker Thompson of this city, were held in Shreveport Tuesday. He died in a Shreveport hospital Sunday following a brief illness. Mr. McAnally was a native of Tennessee and came to Winnfield as a young boy. He attended school here and enlisted in the Army during World War I from here. He was employed as a butane gas inspector out of Baton Rouge, and visited here frequently with his job. He had lived in Shreveport for the past 15 years. Officiating at the funeral services was Dr. Rassie Littleton, pastor of Bay Street Presbyterian Church of Hattiesburg, Miss. Burial was in the Winnfield Cemetery. Survivors are his widow; one son, Fred McAnally of Shreveport; four sisters, Mrs. Will Patrick of McGehee, Ark., Mrs. Parker Thompson of Winnfield, Mrs. Madge Polley of Ft. Worth, Tex., and Mrs. Wally Wiel, also of Fort Worth.
