B. L. McCarty Succumbs At Sikes

Funeral services for B. L. McCarty, 70, of Sikes, who died at his home in
Sikes March 15, after two years illness, were held at the Thompson Church with
the Rev. L. C. Crain of Grayson and D. Fordham of Chatham officiating.  Burial
was in the County Line Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Mr. McCArty is survived by four daughters and two sons.  They are: Mrs. Lewis
Head and Mrs. Walter Gray, Hodge, La.; Mrs. Elbert Hearn, Chatham; Mrs. A. W.
Browder, Bossier City; Wesley of Sikes, and Harrell, U. S. Army, overseas.  He
also leaves one half-brother, Frank King of Sikes.
