Tenth Grade Student Dies From Injuries

Funeral Services For Miss McCartney Will Be Friday

Emma Katherine McCartney, 15 « year old daughter of Rev. and Mrs. C. R.
McCartney of the Beulah Community died in a local clinic Thursday morning at 7
o'clock from injuries received Tuesday a week ago when she fell while playing
basketball at the Winnfield school.

Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 11:30 at the Magnolia Cemetery
near Tullos, La.  Edmonds Funeral Home will be in charge.

Miss McCartney was a tenth grade student in the Winnfield High School, a
member of the Beulah Baptist Church and secretary of the Beulah Sunday School.

Surviving are her parents, Rev. and Mrs. C. R. McCartney; four brothers,
Thomas, Lonnie, Donald, and Charles Lee; one sister, Lillie Belle; and her
grandmothers, Mrs. T. T. Wilson of Tullos and Mrs. R. P. Smith of Sikes.
