She was born and lived most of her life in Grant Parish. Funeral services were held in the Hebron Church at 3 p.m., Jan. 6, with the Rev. C. C. Holloman and Rev. Moses Mercer officiating. Interment was in the Liberty Chapel Cemetery at Williana. The deceased is survived by her husband, Charlie McBride, four sons and four daughters. They are Mrs. Mary Gatlin, Mansfield, Mrs. Betty Hutchinson, Oakdale, Mrs. Omedia Paul, Alexandria, Mrs. Frances Sharbano, Rayville, Jesse McBride, Williana, Albert McBride, Alexandria, Rufus McBride, Dry Prong, and Clarence McBride of Bentley. One sister and two brothers also survive. They are Mrs. L. Wiliams and Lee Coleman of Georgetown, and Joe Coleman of Pollock. Active pallbearers were Bobby McBride, E. L. McBride, Dalton McBride, Ray McBride, and H. L. Gatlin, nephews of the deceased. Honorary pallbearers were Frank Amburg, Culp Smith, W. D. Montgomery, J. C. Richards, Ellis Fletcher, and P. Dees.
