E. L. Tatum officiating. Burial was in Jonesboro Cemetery. Mrs. McBride, a member of a prominent pioneer Jackson Parish family, died late Friday afternoon after a lengthy illness. She was a member of the Jonesboro Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons, J. D. McBride, Jr., of Hammond and Rupert McBride of Port Arthur, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Paul Stinson of Jonesboro, Mrs. Carl Lueg of New Orleans, and Mrs. Tom Floyd of Natchez, Miss.; a sister, Mrs. J. R. Yates of Calrsbad, N. M.; nine grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
