Last Rites For Mrs. McBride Held In Jonesboro

Funeral services for Mrs. Maggie Culpepper McBride, 82, of Jonesboro, were
held June 20 in the Edmonds Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. E. L. Tatum
officiating.  Burial was in Jonesboro Cemetery.

Mrs. McBride, a member of a prominent pioneer Jackson Parish family, died late
Friday afternoon after a lengthy illness.  She was a member of the Jonesboro
Methodist Church.

She is survived by two sons, J. D. McBride, Jr., of Hammond and Rupert McBride
of Port Arthur, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Paul Stinson of Jonesboro, Mrs. 
Carl Lueg of New Orleans, and Mrs. Tom Floyd of Natchez, Miss.; a sister, Mrs.
J. R. Yates of Calrsbad, N. M.; nine grandchildren and a number of great
grandchildren.
