Former Resident of Winn Parish Dies

Mrs. J. D. McBride, Sr., 72, of Weston Community, Jackson Parish, died in the
home of her daughter, Mrs. J. K. Avery, Saturday after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 3 o'clock at Zion Rest Church near
Weston, with Rev. C. M. Monk officiating, assisted by Rev. T. L. Webb of El
Dorado.  Interment was in Zion Rest Cemetery.

Mrs. McBride was a former resident of this parish and was the aunt of Mrs. E.
C. Willis of Sikes.

Surviving are four daughters and three sons; three sisters, Mrs. W. T.
Hawthorne of Quitman, Mrs. J. M. Green of Jonesboro, and Mrs. W. L. Nesbit of
Biloxi; and three brothers, W. B. Puckett of Georgetown, T. M. and J. T.
Puckett of Oak Grove.
