McBride, 55, Native of Winn, Buried at Sardis Funeral services for James Thomas McBride, 55, native of Winn Parish and brother of B. W. McBride of Winnfield, were held at the Sardis Baptist Church Sunday, January 9, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. H. J. Mott of Winnfield and Rev. Myers of Montgomery officiating. Interment was under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Mr. McBride, who was born in Winnfield April 28, 1892, passed away at his home in Pittsburgh, California on December 30, after a short illness. He left Winn Parish about 30 years ago and since that time had made his home in California. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Louise McBride; two daughters, Mrs. Frances Casta and Mrs. Tommy Lou Knutson, all of Pittsburgh, Calif.; his mother, Mrs. Sabra McBride of Montgomery; five sisters, Mrs. T. S. Green, Mrs. Ira Downs, Mrs. J. F. Mathis, all of Montgomery; Mrs. C. B. Tyson of Verda, and Mrs. G. Carroll of Baytown, Texas; and two brothers, B. W. McBride of Winnfield and R. L. McBride of Montgomery. Pallbearers were Vernon G. McBride, Purcell McBride, Owen McBride, Roy Moore, Claude Adcock, and Walter Roberts.
