Final Rites Held Sunday For Mrs. Lucy McBride

Mrs. Lucy McBride, 66, died at 10:25 a.m. Friday, March 25, in a Winnfield
hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. McBride was the mail carrier between Winnfield and Montgomery for several
years.  A resident of Winnfield, she was born in Grant Parish in 1895.

She is survived by her husband, B. W. McBride of Winnfield; one daughter, Mrs.
Carmon Anderson of Winnfield; one brother, Frank Milstead of Montgomery; one
half sister, Mrs. Mary Williams of Vinton; and one grandchild, Mary Carmon
Anderson.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Zion Church with burial in
Mt. Zion Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.  Rev. C. C.
Martin, assisted by Rev. Enos Bonnett officiated.

Acting as pallbearers were W. J. Beck, Lowery Reeves, and Carmon Anderson,
Winnfield; James Williams, Colfax, Henry Williams, Leesville, and Wayne Lyons,
Port Arthur, Texas.
