L. McBride Of Montgomery, Dies July 1 Robert Lee McBride, 83, a retired Montgomery merchant, died Saturday, July 1, 1967, at 1:30 a.m. in Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Alexandria after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield with Rev. Clarence Brooks officiating. Burial was in Brown Cemetery at Sardis. McBride was a native of Winn Parish and a member of Northside Baptist Church in Montgomery. Survivors include four sons, L. P. McBride of St. Louis, Mo., Owen McBride of St. Joseph, Cecil McBride of Westlake, and Vernon McBride of Butler, Ala.; three daughters, Mrs. C. A. Burch of Evergreen, Mrs. R. L. Montgomery of Houston, Texas, and Mrs. Lettie Colton of Montgomery; a brother, Bryant McBride of Winnfield; five sisters, Mrs. Tom Greer, Mrs. Lela Tyson, and Mrs. Ceola Downs, all of Montgomery, Mrs. Frank Mathis of Winnfield, and Mrs. Nettie Carroll of Baytown, Texas; 18 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
