Bush McCarty, Negro, Dies From Gun Shots

Bush McCarty, 28 year old Negro who was shot through the chest Saturday night
two weeks ago, died last Thursday night in the Shreveport hospital.  The body
was returned to Winnfield for burial.

Otis Reed, Negro, who it is alleged shot McCarty and who had been released on
a justice peace bond, was rearrested and a charge of manslaughter was filed
against him.  He was released under a $700 cond.
