Last Rites Held For Walter George McCarty, Jan. 2

Funeral services for George McCarty, 70, of Sikes, who died from a heart
attack January 1, 1952, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hurricane Grove
Church, with Rev. B. G. Dyess of Boyce and Rev. Edward Smith of Kelly
officiating.

Pallbearers were Elton Curry, Oscar Rolen, Alfred Parker, Crosby Adams, Jr.,
Ezell Parker, and Charles Shell.

Mr. McCarty is survived by one son, Daniel W., and two grandsons, Daniel, Jr.,
and Paul David; four brothers, C. A. of Sikes, C. C. of Winnsboro, H. M. of
Crowville, and D. S. of Newelton; one sister, Mrs. Rosa Buchan of Crowville.
