Mrs. Troy McCarty is Laid to Rest at Transport Cemetery

Funeral services for Mrs. Troy McCarty, 25 years of age, whose death occurred
Monday night in a Monroe sanitarium after a brief illness, were held Tuesday
afternoon at 2:30 at the Baptist Church at Dodson, Rev. H. B. Hysell of Hodge
conducting the rites.

Mrs. McCarty was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Emmons of Dodson.  She was
a devout member of the Baptist Church and active in Auxiliary and other church
work.  She was a graduate of Dodson High School, later attending Tech and
teaching for several years.

The deceased is survived by her husband and parents, three sisters, Mavis,
LaVerne, and Elaine, and three brothers, Morrell, Murt, and Jack, all of
Dodson.

Burial was at Transport Cemetery in Jackson Parish.
