DEATH CLAIMS MRS. J. E. MCCARTY OF BEECH CREEK.

81 Year-old Winn Parish Citizen Dies at Grayson, La.

    As the Christmas Spirit was pervading and the world Death was hovering
over the form of Mrs. J. E. McCarty, clipping life's threat at 8:10 p.m.,
December 24, 1937.
    She was born November 2nd, 1856 uniting in marriage to Joseph Edward 
McCarty, December of 1876.  To this union six children were born, two of whom 
preceded her in death.  The living ones are:  J. M. McCarty, Shreveport;  W.
H. McCarty, Flat Creek, La.; Mrs. C. N. Whitehead, Grayson, La.; Mrs. Leno
Niager Shreveport, La.
    One brother, W. P. Jones of Dodson, and twenty grandchildren and nine
great grand children also survive.
    Death came to her in the home of her daughter at Grayson, La. where she
had gone to spend the winter.
