M. "Pete" McCartney Held George M. "Pete" McCartney, 55, of Tullos, died Wednesday, January 15, 1970. A native of Winn Parish, the deceased was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and was employed by a construction company in Darrow, La. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Christie and Rev. Jones officiating. Burial was in the Calvary Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home. Survivors are his wife; one son, C. A. McCartney of Miles City, Mont.; three daughters, Mrs. Ann Rushton of Dry Prong, Mrs. Margaret Adkins of Tullos, and Miss Patricia McCartney of Tullos; two brothers, David McCartney of Chicago, Ill., and Wayne McCartney of Susanville, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. A. E. Hartens of Lafayette; and five grandchildren. Pallbearers were Paul Lavespere, Cecil Couch, Raymond Holmes, J. C. Jordan, Sterling Tisdale, Tuley Wells, Joel Strange, and E. M. Allbritton, Jr.
