McCloy Is Pneumonia Victim Sunday Afternoon Ailing Health For Several Months. Funeral Service Monday James Franklin McCloy, 75 years old, died at his home here Sunday afternoon following an attack of pneumonia for several days. Mr. McCloy who had been in failing health the past few months was first taken sick with flu which later developed into pneumonia. Mr. McCloy was born February 22, 1853 in Fort Bend County, Texas, and at the time of his death was 75 years, ___ months, and 8 days of age. Previous to 1918 Mr. McCloy was a _____man and plantation owner in ____as, at that time he with his family moved to Winnfield to make their home. January 15th, 1896, he was married to Miss Josephine Sowers, daughter of Mrs. W. J. Sowers and to them were born six children, three of whom survive him, two sons, John and Harold of Winnfield, and one daughter, Mrs. H. L. Edgington of Minden. Mr. McCloy was a member of the Baptist church, having joined the church of his faith in 1897. He was associated with the Woodmen of the World. He never aspired to public office but elected to serve his family, neighbors, and country in the quite _____ful pursuit of his business thus ___ tizen lending his help and influence in every progressive move for the betterment of his community. Funeral services were conducted at the First Baptist Church Monday afternoon at three o'clock by Rev. A. H. Cullen, pastor, and interment made in the Winnfield Cemetery.
