A native of Sikes, she was a veteran of World War II, having served as a W. A. C., a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Monroe, the church Altar Society, and the American Assn. of Retired Teachers. She had taught at Dodson in Winn Parish. She is survived by her father, Andrew Perkins of Monroe; two brothers, Carl Perkins of Shreveport and Dayton Perkins of Fort Worth, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Eunice Scroggs of Monroe, Mrs. Carey Beaver of Pineville, and Mrs. Kate White of Mer Rouge. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church at Winnfield, with Rev. R. V. Lawrence officiating. Burial was in Hurricane Grove Cemetery.
