Falls Backward Into Boiling Pot, Dies

Harold McConathy, age 5 years, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. McConathy of Selma,
fell backward into a boiling pot of clothes at about 9 o'clock Wednesday
morning and was so severely burned that he died at 3 o'clock Wednesday
afternoon.

Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church here at 2 p.m. today by the
Rev. A. H. Cullen, interment being made in the Winnfield Cemetery.

Besides his parents he is survived by one little sister 3 years old.  He was
also a grandson of Mr. Alex McMahan of Winnfield.
