Mrs. Della McCarty Dies At Monroe Following Stroke

Funeral services for Mrs. Della L. McCarty of West Monroe, who died in a
Monroe hospital early Thursday morning following a stroke will be conducted at
the Hurricane Grove Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Friday.  Interment will be in the
Hurricane Grove Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Mrs. McCarty was born at Sikes on August 6, 1908.  She is survived by her
husband, G. C. McCarty; her father, Riley Lawrence; four brothers, Cay
Lawrence of Sikes, Troy Lawrence of West Monroe, recently discharged from
the service, Jack Lawrence, also recently discharged, and Elzie
Lawrence, still in service in California; a sister, Mrs. Una Vee Wilson
of Route 4, Winnfield; three nephews and three nieces.
